Team National Hope Supports Wings of Rescue and Honor Flight South Florida

Last week, during our Facebook Live Giving Announcement, Angela and Phil talked a little about Wings of Rescue and Honor Flights South Florida. In case you didn’t get a chance to watch our Facebook Live Video, you can still view it below.

Wings of Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to fly rescue animals to safety. They are donation based, and fly large numbers of at risk, healthy pets long distances from high intake shelters to their network of no-kill shelters throughout the United States and Canada. Founded in 2012, Wings of Rescue has a squadron of volunteer pilots fling the rescue missions in their own airplanes, as well as a fleet of chartered cargo planes. Since their inception, over 26,000 pets have been flown to safety, and in 2017 their goal is to fly 10,000 pets to safety. They are based in California, and you can see more information by visiting their website:www.wingsofrescue.org.

Team National staff members got a chance to see Wings of Rescue in action when we helped the Humane Society of Broward County transport 175 animals before the arrival of Hurricane Irma (You can read that blog post by clicking here!).

Honor Flights South Florida's mission is to Transport America's veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. Their goal is to help every single veteran in America, willing and able of getting on a plane and a bus, visit their memorial. Since America felt it was important to build a memorial to the service and the ultimate sacrifice of her veterans, Honor Flight South Florida believes it's equally important that they actually get to visit and experience their memorial. One of our Dealer Mall members, Stan Bostic with the Rick Case Auto Group is a Director of this honorable organization and we were so proud to be able to partner with them to assist veterans. You can see more of their work on their website: http://www.honorflightsouthflorida.org.
